You Be The Judge...

Recently, five lowly judicial workers were found guilty of gross misconduct. They were not only sacked, but also recommended for trial. A newspaper report quoted a source which confirmed that the sacked workers will in addition be “arraigned in court for trial any moment from now. They have made useful statement to the NJC panel which established a prima facie case against them.”

However, a Chief Judge found guilty of gross misconduct about the same time was allowed to pack his bags and go home with all his benefits simply because, according to the National Judiciary Council spokesperson, "Council took cognisance of the fact that he had already voluntarily retired from service and consequently decided not to recommend his removal from office.

"Council decided that henceforth, any similar misconduct by any Judicial Officer in the Federation will be visited with severe sanctions."

But the main purpose is to continue with the debate from where it was left off; knowing that whatever inspired the making of the cartoon in the first place would not have changed. In fact, with our politicians, things can only get worse! Thus, I consider every cartoon I make a work in progress, an unfinished work waiting to be updated whenever the need arises. Now you know!
