No-Go Areas
No-go Areas
When the
president inaugurated the National Conference on Monday 17 March 2014, he gave the
492 delegates a long list of no-go areas. One of them is the Federal Character that many believe is
past its sell-by date, but which some indolent states want kept on the shelf.
It is very much like the affirmative action.
The peculiarity of ours is that on the account
of it some states have suspended the advancement of their citizens
indefinitely. With anything concerning the Federal government, these states
nominate unqualified and incompetent individuals who represent their best to
fill their quota.Monday, 5 May 2014
"We Don't Know Where The Abducted Girls Are"
For those coming into
contact with the word for the first time, “Aso” or “Aso Rock” is a 400 metre
monolith, the most prominent feature in the sprawling landscape of Asokoro
District, Abuja, where the Presidential Villa, the National assembly and the
Nigerian Supreme court are located.
Thus, Aso Rock Presidential
Villa is the Nigerian Presidential Complex where the
residence and office of the Nigerian President are located. That should help
you understand the cartoon/poster better.
